Hi there - just surfing the net and stumbled across your site. I grew up in 155 Hay Green Lane and my dad had an allotment between the years of 1952 and 1959 - I used to ride in his wheelbarrow and help him ???..... wonderful, loving memories from these days. So glad its all still operational... I'd love to hear from anyone who had allotments back in those days. Cindy Rankin

when I was a small child and lived at 68,hay green lane.my fathur used to have an allotment and I used to take him a bottle of tea every time he worked on it.mr molesworth (who was the vicar of bournville church)in those days very often used to walk past wearing his blue surplice and say to my father, good morning.my father once said to me that the reason he spoke to everyone was that he hoped that they would give him something that he could hide in the large pockets which were hidden inside his surplice .I dont know if this is true but it makes a good story and it made everyone laugh at the time my father told it.

I love the website, especially the carrots! I've just put up an introductory page and link to this site on 'The Bournville Community Website'. I would be glad of any feedback.
